Spooky costumes, pumpkin spice lattes, and new horror movies. Do these sound familiar? Yup, that right. Halloween is right around the corner which means the best time of the year for those who love this spooky season. From costume parties to haunted houses, Halloween is the perfect holiday to kick off this fall season. Looking to do something extra spooky this year? How about taking a trip to a town that prides itself on this popular holiday. Today we are going to go over 3 towns to visit during Halloween that dedicates themselves to giving visitors an experience they will never forget. Just be sure to use a camera wrist strap or camera strap in case you get too spooked while visiting. You wouldn’t want to drop that nice camera of yours. 

Salem, Massachusetts:

Our first place to visit during Halloween is located in the small town of Salem. Known for the famous witch trials back in the late 1600s, this town carries a lot of paranormal history. Visitors can take a walking tour of the haunted town to learn a bit of history on the witch trials or participate in the famous Festival of the Dead that happens each year. Some of the things that you can expect to find at the festival include palm readings, interactions with the dead, and other paranormal related activities. Salem is a cornerstone for paranormal activity and is a must-see for those who are intrigued.

 Estes Park, Colorado:

Don’t believe in ghosts? Well, you might after visiting this haunted town. Located in the small town of Estes Park lies the famous Stanley Hotel. Known as the inspiration of the book The Shining by Stephen King, this hotel caught the attention of many who believed it to be haunted. This hotel has been the speculation of many paranormal investigators who believe the same. Visitors can take a tour of the haunted hotel as well as enjoy the various activities surrounding them. Be sure to visit during Halloween so that you can immerse yourself in the various Halloween activities that surround the town. Activities range from holiday-themed festivals to murder mystery dinners. All around, this is a great place to visit during Halloween, not to mention the phenomenal views of the Rockies. New Orleans, Louisiana:

Our last place to visit during Halloween is the famous town or New Orleans. You’ve heard of Mardi Gras, right? Well, this is the next big holiday this party-crazed town likes to celebrate. Visitors can party and bar hop in their best costume or head over to The Voodoo Music + Arts festival that happens over the holiday weekend. Headliners this year include Kendrick Lamar, Beck, and Guns n Roses. Break out your best Halloween costume and make your way over to New Orleans. Just remember to use a camera strap or camera wrist to keep your equipment safe while you party the holiday weekend away!
